Hunt Farms

Imagine a place where the land heals, culture thrives, and the next generation grows with their roots firmly in the soil of their ancestors.

Visionary Lumbee farmer Ed Hunt is reclaiming 230 acres of ancestral land to create a livingmodel of Indigenous-led agriculture, education, and economic revival. This land will be more than a farm: it will be a teaching ground for Lumbee youth and a beacon of sustainable farming rooted in centuries oftradition.

Hands-on STEM training, aquaculture, fire education, and local food production will empower youth and community farmers alike, and will intertwine economic growth, environmental stewardship, and cultural renewal.

The project will heal floodplains, restorewildlife habitats, and reintroduce Indigenouscrops alongside modern sustainable practices.
